Musikfest 2019

Living in the Lehigh Valley, we have a lot of traditions, especially in the summer. One I particularly love is Musikfest, a week long event in Bethlehem, PA celebrating the arts.

I go every year, and it has become a staple in the town (and PA region, people travel from all over)! There’s big concerts, free music, vendors, and TONS of good food. In past years, I’ve seen Lady Antebellum, and some times I go multiple nights a week!

This year, I went on the last Saturday of the festival and it was bustling! We started with dinner; my boyfriend got a Gyro, and I tried the Island Noodles (so delicious, I completely recommend). The food is a bit pricey, but it’s the only time to try a lot of these vendors so it’s worth it.

We then walked around to get some brews! The Musikfest beer mugs are so fun, but we just decided to go for drafts in cups instead of dropping $20 on the mug. Fun tip, go to the unofficial beer tents for craft beer! We went to the Sun Inn tent for $5 craft drafts, then to the one by the train station for another round of $5 craft drafts. For $5, you can’t even get Bud Light through Musikfest!

We then walked around to enjoy the music! We listened to a bunch of local bands, singers-songwriters, and more throughout the different stages. The best part of Musikfest is the endless amount of music stages and performances.

There are also awesome vendors selling their goods, like food, crafts, and art. Make sure to walk around and soak up all the awesome talent!

It was then dessert time, and with the endless options, we spent a long time walking around to figure it out! We decided on a giant, homemade donut and it was so worth it. Warm, fresh, doughy, and sweet…can’t be beat!
