Do you love pumpkins, community, and Halloween fun? Then the Pumpkin Festival at the State College Arboretum in Pennsylvania is for you. This event happens every year to celebrate the harvest and the amazing carved pumpkins carved by the State College Community.
A week before the event, they hand out free pumpkins to anyone who’d like one, and then the following week, they display all the Jack O’Lanterns. They display it by age, and each pumpkin is lit up with a number for judging. There’s a winner from each category, and there’s so much talent from ages two to adult!
In addition to an extensive collection of at least 1000 pumpkins, there’s pumpkin displays, snacks, and live music all weekend.
This is a fantastic date night idea for you and your special someone, and you can tell by the attendance it is a huge community event. Try stopping for ice cream at the creamery afterwards!
