Styling with Cleobella: Ethical Fashion Spotlight

Since the end of 2019, I really have occupied the mindset of sustainable fashion. Ethical production is essential, and the days of fast fashion aren’t as strong. We really need to focus on sustainable pieces that will last in our wardrobe for years, and have a legacy we feel good about.

One brand that is really doing that is Cleobella. Cleobella is an ethically produced, globally inspired fashion brand.

From the beginning the vision was to offer globally inspired products that uplift the cultures and traditions of the artisans creating them. In collaboration with artisans the first product was created.

By using traditional tooling, weaving, dyeing, and beading we create uniquely beautiful pieces that spur conversations, evoke beauty, and preserve the art of these diverse cultures.

We work with global artisans to design one-of-a-kind products of beauty and integrity. These partnerships generate more sustainable incomes for each artisan and create products that are handmade with love.

All these excerpts from their site show exactly why I am happy to support this brand and add it in to my wardrobe. They really capture diversity (and promote its sustenance), while supporting artisans and providing quality clothing pieces, all while giving back to the environment and people.

I have a beautiful, polyester silky scarf from the brand, it is a beautiful piece that has a variety of different uses. I have styled it numerous ways, like around a pony tail, around my neck (tied like a neck scarf, or looser as a triangle, and I have even used it as a top on the beach!

My new favorite way to wear it? As a head scarf. As soon as I got my new bangs, I have been loving wearing a scarf around my head with a bun. It gives me a scholarly, pulled together, and chic feel that really pulls together outfits and adds another element of interest besides a mask! I like to fold it up, wrap it around my head, criss cross it, and tie it in the back. This time, I paired it with a vintage collared shirt and one of my favorite pairs of jeans. Perfect for fall!

I love wearing hair scarves for fall, and more importantly, I love sharing diverse, global, and ethical brands that promote both culture and sustainability on my blog. I’d love to style more pieces from brands like this, let me know who I should check out next!
