After we got engaged, I knew I wanted to host a fun, colorful and bright engagement party opposite of our classy, neutral wedding. After a bit of Pinterest scrolling, I landed on a pink, disco themed party straight out of the 70s.
Think pink, silver, red, and orange, disco balls, and bright colors. Groovy fonts, a 70s themed outfit, and lots of fringe, stars, and confetti. That’s what we embodied for the party.
For the food, we went for smoked bbq, a bunch of summer salads, buffalo chicken dip, and funfetti cake! We kept it simple with fresh recipes we love, and all of our guests loved watching the live meat smoking demonstration!
For the drinks, I made custom adult capri sun margarita pouches complete with our party logo! I used my Cricut to cut out vinyl stickers with our logo, then stuck them on these pouches. With holographic paper straws to finish the look, we filled these with watermelon margaritas and everyone drank up!
I did a bunch of other crafting for the party decor too. In addition to our custom drink pouches, I made labels with all our foods using our font on paint cards, and also made a fun welcome sign to bring all the guests in!
For my look, I skipped out on the white and went for an orange, linen halter dress that had a retro feel from Abercrombie. Unfortunately, it’s all sold out now!
This was such a fun time with family and friends, and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The food, decor, and theme made for an amazing engagement party that we will remember and be thankful for!
