I’m a details girl, and for our happily ever after, I am combining wedding elements of both vintage curios and soft, romantic fabrics. To give you a sneak preview into our wedding aesthetic, I figured I’d talk about guest tables, DIY table numbers, and our cake table set up.
The Cake Table
I really plan to let our grey wedding cake shine on the cake table display. We’re opting for no extra decor, just our cake cutter (vintage inspired with gold filigree) and a cake topper. I knew I did not want a classic cake topper. I love the soft feel of linen we are embracing throughout the wedding, so this was the route I took. I found a custom printed wedding cake topper banner, complete with the words “Happily Ever After.” Working with this artisan was an incredible experience, and I’d highly recommend!
Our Table Numbers
I wanted our table numbers to look like curated, vintage museum specimens. To execute this look, I created a gorgeous DIY. I started with Target Dollar Section Cloche vases from the Halloween section. Originally black, I spray painted them a patina platinum to make them look old and fit our color way. I then used my cricut to cut black, sparkly numbers and placed them on cream cardstock. To finish the look, I placed a faux, early grey rose on each side.
Guest Table Decor
To stay within budget and floral free, the rest of the guest table featured sage green pillar candles in variable height glass hurricane vases alongside tea lights in glass holders. To finish the look, we are placing a gauzy, nude colored linen table runner down each long table. We are also renting gold chargers from the venue. Stay tuned for more details on place cards and menus, with upcoming my wedding stationary post!
I can’t wait to continue to share my wedding purchases, crafts, and styling as the date approaches! Let me know what other wedding content you’d like to see from me.
