On May 2nd, I was so honored to walk in the Devon Yard Anthropologie’s Mother’s Day Spring Fashion Show! That was a mouthful, but it truly was a spectacular experience I can’t wait to share with everyone.
I had found out about the show through Instagram, and immediately signed up since I have been shopping with this Anthropologie location since I was 13 (at their Wayne store). This was my first fashion show, and it was a blast being with a brand I love.
I first had went to the store for a fitting, which was a blast in itself. I tried on four outfits, and the one I selected for the show was definitely for me. I also loved a pair of striped pants with a denim shirt, but the skirt was very typical “Makenna in the Summertime.” We then paired it with some killer heels.
The day of, I arrived and got to have my hair and makeup done. My hair was put in a messy fishtail braid with a headband, and my makeup was natural and glowing with gold shadow and nude lips. We then did a run through, had some bubbly, and it was already show time!
The show was such a blast! I got to close the show, and we walked across the BHLDN balcony, down the stair case, and through the store. There was a big crowd, and it was great that all the attendees were raising money for Every Mother Counts. After the show, it was shopping time! There was so many beautiful, new spring arrivals to shop.
The outfit I wore in the show was a stunner. I paired a denim tank top by Cloth and Stone with this killer plaid Evelyn Midi Skirt . It reminded me of a flowing picnic on a spring day. I also wore a pair of these wedges that had colorful stones and white leather, all with a wooden block heel, but I can’t find those on the site!
The models received a killer discount, and a goody bag full of some fun products that I am enjoying using. This was such a fun event, and I was so honored to be a part of it!
