A Food Visit to Avon, Connecticut

As a little pitstop on our way to Rockport, Massachusetts, we spent some time in Avon, Connecticut. Avon is a suburban town outside of Hartford, and is full of idyllic shops, gorgeous homes, and the cleanest suburban vibes you could ever imagine. This is definitely a place I could see myself living.

We stayed at the Residence Inn hotel, which was clean and welcoming, and also walking distance to everything! While we didn’t spend too much time there, I wanted to suggest a few places to eat that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Dom’s Coffee

This incredible coffee shop has some unique drinks and the best pastries. The window ordering is so cute, and the quality of the coffee is unlike any I’ve ever had. I completely suggest getting the Iced Charcoal Mocha, it’s out of this world and has so many health benefits.

The Elephant Trail

This delicious Thai restaurant is hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had! With fresh food and dishes, wine, and a darling outdoor patio by the river with sunflowers, what more could you want? They also are really socially responsible and give back, which I love. Authentic and flavorful, this was my favorite meal there.

First and Last Tavern

A Connecticut based chain, this tavern has delicious Italian food. I had the pea pizza, which was perfectly based with an innovative sprinkling of peas under the crust! Their fire oven pizzas really hit the spot.

All thoughts and opinions are my own.
