Date Night in Berwyn

Do you ever just eat something that you’re jumping from the rooftops to tell people about? I had this moment twice on a date night in Berwyn, PA (outside of Philadelphia), and I knew I had to pop on and tell someone about these amazing two culinary spots. This won’t be a long post, but it’ll be one you will want to take notes on!

El Tio Mexican Restaurant

I have a lot of good Mexican restaurants up my sleeve on the mainline, but this is my new favorite. It seems like a rustic hole in the wall, but it is wonderful. With cheaply priced Mexican food and free margaritas, what more could you ask for? I would suggest the drunken burrito covered in mole sauce. This was one of the best mole sauces I have had, and the burrito is a beefy masterpiece with pork, beans, rice, and cheese inside!

Handel’s Ice Cream

This old school ice cream shop was probably the best ice cream I have had in PA, I mean it! They make all their ice cream from scratch, and have so many flavors, it’s hard to choose. I had the raspberry chocolate truffle, and my boyfriend had the salty caramel pretzel. Both were yummy, and the portions were generous. I plan on heading back to celebrate my college graduation there!
