This weekend, I was fortunate to celebrate my 5-year anniversary with my boyfriend, and when we decided where we wanted to eat, I instantly suggested the flowerpot bread cafe!
In more specifics, I wanted to eat at Terrain Cafe. The new Terrain Cafe had opened in Devon next to Terrain and Anthropologie, and after my first visit to the stores, I had an urge to eat at the adorable little restaurant that was housed within a string light lit greenhouse and served delicious looking bread in flowerpots. They are all about sourcing from local farms and serving fresh, earth-friendly cuisine.
This gorgeous restaurant was a magical place to celebrate right around the holidays, and to start, the bread did not disappoint. Steaming hot in a flower pot and served with rosemary ginger honey butter, it was a great way to start the meal. I had a delicious sauvignon blanc from South Africa with my meal, and I definitely was feeling spoiled.
My boyfriend ordered the burger, and this was no typical burger. The bun was big and soft, topped with garden greens, and the fries were generous and seasoned with herbs. I went for the mushroom fondue, which was super cheesy and indulgent, but paired with really good bread, roasted potatoes, and broccoli for dipping. We also had the pear and ricotta fritters, which were like a delicious, adult donut. The meal was fairly priced and we had a great time in the atmosphere and with the food.
A definite recommendation when you’re on the mainline!
