Engagement Photos: Golden Hour and Notebook Inspired

Do you ever see photos of yourself and gasp? I don’t often, but out engagement photos truly stole my heart.

For our engagement photos, I wanted something ethereal, golden hour, and that encompassed both of us. For me, that meant sunshine, fairytale vibes, a boat, and gorgeous clothes. For Collin, that meant dirt bikes. So that’s what we did. I purchased/rented these two dresses (which I still dream about), and we loaded up the dirt bike and headed to the PA/Maryland border in August, where the nature is unspoiled with fields and a lake. If you want to shop my looks, check out here and here to get your hands on the dresses!

Jacklyn D Photography, our photographer, is an amazing light in this world. Not only is she a creative wonder, she is glowing and kind. She made us feel so comfortable, and captured our love story perfectly.

We started with some golden, sun filled shots in an open field, and some of them included Collin’s dirt bike. We then rented a little row boat and went out on the lake for golden hour. It was straight out of the notebook! We finished with some dusky photos on a wooded, winding road.

There were hundreds of gorgeous photos, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites right here!

We’re very excited to get some of these photos printed, and I plan to put some of our favorites into a bound book to use as a wedding guest book! We also used one of our favorites for our save the dates.

I can’t wait to show you our beautiful wedding photos next, keep following along for more wedding content!
