EVO Haircare Review

When getting my hair done at my favorite salon, La’lli, I told them not to bother blowing out my hair (as it was a warm summer day 6 months ago), so they just put product in instead. Little did I know, that decision would reveal my new favorite haircare line, EVO hair.

The stylist used a combination of two products on me (a sealing product and curl product), and after I let it air dry, my curls have never looked nicer in my whole 21 years! That’s saying something!

So I placed an order, and it arrived all wrapped with care, relatively fast. The pricing is fair for high end hair care, and the products have lasted for about 6 months.IMG_5965.JPG Keep reading for mini reviews of each product!

I ordered:

Liquid Rollers Curl Balm: This incredible curl balm adds such wave to my hair, smells great, and is once of the best curl products I have used. In conjunction with the next product, you have perfect hair bliss!

Head Mistress Cuticle Sealer: This is probably my favorite product from the line, because it really cuts down the frizz and fuzz and adds a beautiful shine to my hair. Even when I am not wearing it natural, I add it in to add sleekness to my straightened or curled hair.

Mane Attention Protein Treatment:  I got this treatment as a travel size because my colored hair needs the help. The small bottle lasted me two uses (on long, thick hair), and it made my hair soft, easy to detangle, and healthy. For context, I use a mask or treatment weekly to repair all the bleaching damage of my younger years.

I also received these as freebies:

Normal Persons Daily Shampoo: Since the styling and treatment products work so well, I expected this to be great. While I loved the smell, I used the whole trial size bottle in one night and still didn’t get a lather or feel clean. I would try other shampoos, but for my thick hair, it didn’t work.

Normal Persons Daily Conditioner: This was better than the shampoo, but I still had some trouble detangling through my hair and had to supplement this with another, thicker conditioner. I generally don’t use daily conditioners because my wavy hair gets so tangled, but it was nice to give it a try.
