Gone With the Wind: A Meaningful Edition

Today I wanted to share a beautiful vintage book of mine, Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell.

This is one of my favorite books of all time, it is a lengthy piece that takes you through the triumphs and miseries of Scarlett prior to and after the Civil War in Georgia. I think it teaches so many valuable lessons, and provides an interesting perspective on history. Overall, there are many obvious character flaws of many of the characters, but I think I learned a lot on ways to act, and ways not to act, and it was an emotional rollercoaster of a read.

My copy is particularly meaningful, because it was a gift from my grandmother that she had back when she was a child. This was a 1936 edition!  It has been through the ringer, but I have her notes and her life infused into this book, so it is particularly sentimental.
