Greencastle Coffee Roasters

I love to stumble upon little gem small businesses. The Greencastle Coffee Roasters is just that, a store in small town Pennsylvania, Greencastle, that has everything your caffeine loving heart could ever desire.

Greencastle Coffee Roasters is a small town family owned business that was established in 1995.  Aleth Rock who is the owner has spent the last 8 years of her life dedicated to the business and providing our customers with top quality fresh roasted coffee.  We roast all of our own coffee here in the store using our antique Victorian style roaster and have most likely the largest selection of coffee to choose from than most coffee roasters, our coffees come from all over the world. We also have a very large selection of flavored coffee that is sure to please just about everyone taste.

In addition to the coffee we offer a large selection of black, green and white loose leaf and bagged teas available in different variety from decaf, herbal, flavored and organic. We also have a South East Asian foods section with cooking ingredients from Philippines, India, China and Korea. Along with roasting coffee we also roast jumbo Virginia style peanuts that come in a choice of light, medium or dark roast.

That pretty much sums up this gem of a store, so let me tell you about the wonderful time I had there! When you walk in, the aroma of coffee and peanuts is heavenly. There is coffee galour, everywhere! There’s walls of sampler bags (which my boyfriend bought several of), kcup samples (I grabbed a few), bins of coffee, and so much tea (which is what I came for, I am a tea fiend!). There’s also snacks in the back, which featured some great Asian cooking ingredients.

The coffee was delicious, the flavoring just right, and although I am not a coffee drinker, I found it to be so enjoyable, I just may become one!

I grabbed two different tea samplers, very unique black blends that I had never heard of before. Both of them were delicious, and for $2, it’s a price that can’t be beaten. There is so much loose tea in each bag, and I can’t wait to stock up on more next time I am in town.
