How To Decorative Plan on a Budget

I love planning! But being a student, I am also on a budget. I love to decorate weekly, but I can’t afford to buy full cover kits every week. I still can make some great weeks, but it just takes a bit more creativity! Here are some of the ways I save money in my planning.

  1. Target Dollar Spot- I wrote a whole post here, but this is my first suggestion to get some budget friendly supplies for your planner. There’s washi, stickers, pens, stamps, and more! Check every time you go, because they are always cycling out collections.
  2. Misfit Bags- Misfit bags are one of my favorite ways to bulk up my collection. They are super affordable and feature sticker sheets (randomized) that may have slight flaws, like an off cut or ink smudge, but once they are in your planner, you don’t even notice it! The quality is still great, and I have gotten some really unique items in these.
  3. Washi- Fill your planner with washi galore! Washi can be cut into flags, boxes, checklists, and headers, so you can really make any of the stickers you need out of washi in a pinch. You can get super large rolls full of different styles at the craft store, so get creative! Most rolls also last a very long time as well.
  4. Stamps- If you don’t feel like cutting washi, stamps are another way to fill in your planner the way you need on a budget. Stamps are relatively affordable, and you can just change out the ink color depending on what mood you are going for.
