Meet the most inspirational, entrepreneurial women across the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle industries.
Madisyn and Alyssa of ALIA MARIE Co are killing the clay jewelry game. Their handcrafted jewelry bring a modern and minimalist vibe, and their earrings look chic and original. With their own colors and designs, they are a cut above the rest.
Both preschool teacher, these ladies were inspired to make some extra money for the holiday season. They didn’t expect the brand would be so popular, and they also grew to love what they do. Nothing like making bank doing what you love!
They started because clay earrings weren’t super prevalent, and they thought it was a fun new style. While clay earring businesses have been popping up since, they try to keep their work innovative and new by trying different techniques from other clay makers. Their customers bring them a constant demand, so the competition isn’t affecting them. If anything, it’s fueling.
They weren’t born clay artists, they learned through trial and error! Inspired by Pinterest, they started by recreating designs they liked to learn their techniques, then expanded into their own designs. Learning new methods, and exploring new materials, has helped them constantly improve their quality, bringing their customers the best product they can, both high in style and quality.
They have endless beautiful stock, but Alyssa is a fan of the leopard print (she finds it makes a great outfit complement). Madisyn has a place in her heart for the Emma style, complete with three-dimensional flowers.
Alyssa loves how fashion is a way for each person to express themselves on a canvas, while Madisyn loves experimentation. Going out of your comfort zone can be super fun! Just as fashion is fun, so are their jobs in general. Madisyn loves how the market is always changing and they can make tiny piece of art for people to wear, and Alyssa loves to see customers post with their earrings on! There’s something so rewarding about seeing people like what they create (and I can’t blame them).
In order to balance work and life, they try to remember their purpose, but acknowledge that life gets busy, messy, and unbalances.
Our faith in Jesus has definitely helped us prioritize things and refocus why we do what we do.

For those starting their own business, they suggest to market and promote your product as much as possible.
LOVE your product. If you love your product that’s the best place to start when it comes to marketing. You’ll feel confident when posting about it and you’ll wear it and talk about it. The marketing is so much less daunting then
Madisyn
As for the future, they currently have their earrings in 2 different boutiques and would love to expand into other boutiques. They would love to work with other shop owners and learn more about small businesses. Madisyn would love to have a store front one day with a studio in the back for their production and other makers.
Want to support ALIA MARIE Co? It doesn’t have to be financial. While buying their products is great (and trust me, totally worth it), word of mouth, likes, and interactions are also key. Share with your friends, leave reviews, and interact with your social! This pushes their business into different networks, translating to sales. Follow them here on instagram!
