Maelove Skincare: Revolutionary at Affordable Prices

I think skincare is everything. You all know I love makeup and clothes, but skin health is really the best canvas to any look. I have tried my fair share of skincare over the years, but as a grad student, I can’t always splurge on the most affordable options. So when Maelove, an affordable, award winning skincare line, reached out and wanted to let me try some of their products, I couldn’t resist!

Maelove has a variety of serums that form the core of their line, but also creams and cleansers. They are really focused on the ingredients, making sure there’s no junk, just stuff that works in each product. Science, data, and quality are their game, and since I am a PhD scientist, we align quite well!

I was able to try an assortment of their different, award winning serums (which their brand is really known for), so I am going to give a mini review of each. Overall, I love both the branding and packaging, as they take a classic serum dropper bottle and elevate it!

  • The Glow Maker-This is my favorite serum of the batch! This vitamin C serum is their award winning product, and features the known and loved vitamin C plus ferulic acid. It’s a fantastic dupe for more expensive products, and since I’ve been using it, I notice a revolutionary change in my skin texture and tone!
  • Nia 10 Calming– Niacinimide is a fantastic ingredient to fight acne, and really works to clear and calm the skin. I think this is a great layering serum to add to your routine!
  • Hydrator B5– This serum also layers nicely, but I found it to be the least necessary when stacking Maelove products. Not saying it’s bad (and it contributes to my facial glow for sure), I think the hyaluronic acid is a great hydrating ingredient. If you have oily skin, I think this would be great on its own!
  • Super Smooth Resurfacing– This was what I found to be the least impressive of the line up. While there was nothing wrong with this gentle AHA/BHA serum, I didn’t notice any skin turnover, brightening, smoothing, or clearing. It just felt like a less effective step of the routine.
  • Moonlight Retinol– This serum was bright yellow, which was so surprising! I think retinol is essential to have in your routine for anti-aging, but often times, they irritate my skin. This one is gentle, and I use it a couple of times a week!

The Love 31 Face Oil is one for the books and worth the splurge. The smell is intoxicating and features 31 different botanical oils, and it’s so nourishing without staying greasy for long. Some of the oils include Vitis Vinifera, Cannabis Sativa, Jojoba, Rose, Argan, Hazelnut and Baobab, talk about a unique blend! If I had to only use one product on my face, this would be the product.

The Sun Protector SPF 30 has to be one of the best mineral sunscreens I’ve ever used, and is a staple in my daytime skincare routine. It doesn’t go on white at all, doesn’t cause me to break out, and actually wears fantastically under makeup. It’s truly a gem product that I think everyone needs in their arsenal (and SPF is so important year round to prevent wrinkles, sun damage, and skin cancer).

The face oil, vitamin C serum, and sunscreen are going to be absolute essentials in my skincare cabinet, and I would highly suggest checking out these luxe and effective skincare products.

I was gifted these products, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
