It’s no secret by now, I am enjoying the sun, sand, and sea in Mallorca, Spain. A beach trip like this has plenty of essential must-haves, and these are mine!
- Beach Hat-The sun is not your best friend, which means you need a hat to keep you covered. I am huge fan of a big, floppy beach hat. They look stylish and add some class to your beach look. They also provide mega coverage, protecting your scalp, face, and even shoulders from the sun.
- Hair Scarf-I used to put my wet hair in a ponytail to keep it off my face, but that really damages and rips your hair, so now I use a hair scarf to either tie my hair back, or just tie it into a headband. It looks so much cuter, and it is fun and less damaging.
- Coverup– A flowing coverup is perfect to walk to and from the beach, or to walk and get a snack or drink. I like something white, gauzy, and oversized. Shein has really cute and affordable options.
- Sunscreen– I mentioned earlier, but I’ll say it again, the sun is not your friend! Coverup with a good SPF, the higher the better! I like Supergoop’s serum, or the Neutrogena spray.
- Sunnies– Protect your eyes from the sun with a pair of oversized shades. Make sure they have a protective element to them, while style glasses are great, they don’t always protect your eyes from harmful rays. The bigger and darker, the better!
- Wicker Bag– I don’t use a wicker purse as a carry on, but I do pack it in my bag to use as a beach bag to tote my towel, sunscreen, and books to the beach! I’ll even throw in water or a snack.
- New Bikini-You always have to have a new bikini to rock on the beach! I have two, one I got on clearance last season at H&M and one from Shein. Since it’s Spain, I am going for the cheeky look!
- Face Mist– Have you heard of sunscreen face mists? Coola and Supergoop have them, and they are perfect to cool you down and freshen up the SPF.
- UV Hair Protectant– I use this awesome product by Frederic Fekkai that is a UV Hair Protectant that adds shine, texture, and protection from the sun for color, and just drying it out.
- Book-You need a good book for the beach, and I will be bringing The Sparkle Effect by Kristen Dalton, a pageant inspired book that is all about reaching your true inner shine.
