Is there anything more excited than shopping for your wedding dress?

To live out my dress shopping dreams, we went to L’Fay Bridal in Chatham, New Jersey. I chose L’Fay for its gorgeous location, luxe experience, as well as stunning selection of designer dresses. I had dreamed of a Berta dress, and they have such an extensive selection of the line, I knew this was the best place to go. I also didn’t want to go into the city, so this was the best option for that top of the line dress experience!

I went in looking for a sexy dress. I wanted a lot of skin showing, and I wanted it sheer and lacy. Wow, bombshell factor was on my radar for sure. I also definitely did not want anything stark white, and I was hoping to select a Berta.

We worked with the most incredible bridal consultant, Nico, who made my day so magical. I was able to try on so many different dress options, and no matter how the dress looked, he was so uplifting and supportive. He also made sure to mediate when things got overwhelming. An added bonus to my day? My best friend flew in all the way from London to join us!

Dresses included couture bridal lines such as Berta and Milla Nova, and I went for a variety of shapes, colors, and fabrics. I included a couple of pictures of dresses that weren’t it for me, and you’ll have to stay tuned for the final one I chose!
