Pixi By Petra Eyeshadow Review and Look

Pixi By Petra is one of those brands I have eyed up in Target, but never tried much besides samples I have gotten in subscription boxes. I was doing some shopping, and saw the beautiful Desert Sunset Mesmerizing Minerals 6 pan palette on sale and had to swoop it up. Those bronzes are my go to colors, and the two pops of color had my attention and were unlike anything I’ve ever had in my collection.

This palette is great! Overall, the shadow formula is buttery and smooth. The dark shades are very pigmented, and the metallic ones have a beautiful shine. The two bright shades, the ones I was most excited about in the palette, were a bit lacking in pigmentation, but can be built up quite well on the eye.

The blending is easy, but there’s no light colored shade to use to blend the edges. Fortunately, that is an easy fix. I do find there to be some fallout, so use this before foundation. I find my fingers to be the most effective to pack color, with a brush to blend it all out.

To make this bronzey look, I used the lightest metallic shade all over my eye, used the darkest in the crease, and added dimension and depth with the other two brown shades, the light matte as a transition, and the dark metallic as another element on the lid. With some liner and mascara and blending with a lighter color, I was good to go.IMG_8371 copy.jpg
