Bridesmaid dresses often get a bad reputation. Frumpy, low quality, and bad colors are just some of the thoughts I’ve had in the past. With my wedding, I wanted to make sure my girls had high quality dresses that made them feel amazing, while maybe being able to wear them again. I didn’t want total free reign on color or brand, so I had to look for a company that had cohesive choices. I found it with Revelry Bridesmaids.
Revelry is a company that allows for brides to pick out colors and fabrics they like (whether it be one or a beautiful palette) and then send their bridesmaids to the site to pick out a style they like best for them. Bridesmaids can order an at-home try on kit to test different styles and sizes, and order a custom sized dress for under $200.
The dresses range from chic and modern to boho and feminine. One thing that can be said about all the dresses is that they are stylish and well-fitted. No more balloon-like sheaths! The fabrics range from velvet to tulle and chiffon, and there’s even patterned, sequined, and lace. With a huge array of colors, there’s something to fit any wedding look. You can even order fabric swatches of whole color collections before hand to plan, mix, and match!
I knew I was interested in the brand, and wanted to do something special with my sister to involve her in wedding planning, so we had an at-home try on party! I picked out a style in the 3 different fabric types I was most interested in seeing (tulle, satin, and velvet), and we had a fun Saturday together. The idea of an at-home try on party is a great way to have fun with your girls and try on different dresses together. Make it a fashion show night with snacks and dresses, all while finding everyone’s perfect dress!
Each dress style you pick to try on is $10, and they come with a 3 business days to try them on and a pre-paid return envelope. You don’t get to pick the color, but you may pick sizes and styles. The kit also comes with a measuring tape and instructions to make sure you get the perfect fit.
My sister and I tried on each gown, and even though we’re the same size, it’s amazing how different styles fit us differently! Her favorite was the Velvet Bardot Dress, while I loved the Rosalie Tulle Convertible Style. All the colors were gorgeous, and the fabrics were impeccable quality. These are dresses worth every penny that will hold up to a busy wedding day. I put in some pictures below of the 3 styles on!
I definitely will be using Revelry for my bridesmaid dresses for the wedding, but I haven’t fully decided on the colors yet. I’m thinking either all velvet, or a mix of different fabrics, for my three girls, and I’ll have to keep thinking on the colors! Are you getting married? If so, what are you doing for bridesmaids dresses? If you haven’t picked a place out, I’d highly suggest checking Revelry out!
