As I am growing older, I am trying to be more conscious of my fashion footprint on the environment. Fast fashion can cause real harm, so I am working to build a sustainable and ethical wardrobe that is timeless and high quality to reduce what I purchase.

I was thrilled to work with Shopyte a few months ago, and after several wears, I was finally able to get beautiful pictures of this piece so I can share with you a bit of information about the brand, the mission, and the style.

I was so grateful to receive the Black Silk Linen Dress. This dress features a gorgeous textured silk to with a bow tie neck detail, and gorgeous button frilled sleeve cuffs. The a-line skirt is a thick and sturdy linen material, so flattering to the frame.

I styled this dress to allow it to do all the work! Just a pair of nude pumps, some loosely curled hair, light makeup, and no jewelry. This dress is a statement maker itself, and when I wore it, I presented at my first professional conference and had all the power in the world.
