Finals had been wearing me down, but lucky for me, Designers Denn came to the rescue.

My skin was in need of some major TLC. With the State College winters drying it out, yet the stress breaking me out, I couldn’t get a handle on my face. The lack of sleep certainly wasn’t helping me either, and I was somehow zitty, yet wrinkley. Sigh, early 20s aren’t very fun sometimes.

I scheduled an appointment for a Stone Crop Cleansing Facial at Designers Denn Salon and Spa in State College, PA the same day I finished classes, and let me tell you…it was what I needed!

This organic treatment for all skin types enriches the epidermis, tightens the skin, and reduces all visible signs of aging. Stone crop is a natural succulent that has been used for centuries for first-aid. As part of Stone Crop’s healing nature, it reduces the appearance of irritation and gently clarifies the skin.

All of the products in this facial were by a brand called Eminence, a high end, effective, and natural skincare line.

I arrived at the salon and was greeted with a cup of tea. I then went back and changed into a fluffy robe and slippers in a beautiful room. A kind assistant escorted me to the relaxation room, and let me tell you, I never wanted to leave! With a soothing waterfall, a heated neck wrap, and cucumber water, it was so serene.

Then, it was time for a facial! After the consultation with my esthetician, we started with steam and cleansing.There was scrubbing, extractions, moisturizing, and all kinds of great treatments. I particularly loved the steam and the hot towels. I sat with a face mask, then finished with some moisturizer.

By the time I was out, I felt so relaxed, refreshed, and wonderful! It was hard to go back to the real world, but with a soft and fresh face, I was ready. I left with a regimen suggestion and a sample of a product that would be great for my hormonal skin.

The results after were even better. I told you I was dry, wrinkly, and had a major jawline breakout (which she told me was likely hormonal). The day of my facial, my skin was soft and awesome. The next few days, things stayed soft, but unfortunately, my breakouts continued. I think it was just from the clarifying parts of the facial. Within 3 days after the facial, I felt so so so confident in my skin! It’s clear, nourished, and bright. I haven’t worn face makeup since Saturday, which is a win in my book.

It’s often I feel so confident in my skin, so it was truly a successful facial. Thank you to Designers Denn for treating me to this spa day! I am so happy to have found a spa in State College where I can feel relaxed and actually treat and benefit my skin, you’ve made this new place feel a bit more like home!
