If you’re involved in the beauty community, you’ve probably heard they hype around the Starskin Lifting Lace Face Mask. This expensive little number (at 15 a single use) is the topic of beauty blogs all over. A mask that is stylish, nourishing, and will contour your skin? Give it to me!

I am very into skincare, and will try just about anything, especially with anti-aging claims. When I received this for Christmas, I was so excited to give it a go! The problem, I was nervous to waste it on a normal day, so it sat for a bit.

I had a super stressful week, so I decided to give it a go and have a skin treat. My skin was a bit dry and irritated from being outside all weekend, so it was a good time to test. After showering, cleansing my face, and brushing my hair, I used my jade roller to prep the skin.

The mask’s instruction were a bit daunting, but it was easy to apply. After adjusting it to my face shape, I put the ear straps and chin straps on. The neck compression is really great, because it’s an under-focused area.

The mask was on super tight and taught, providing that compression they claim. The lace was beautiful, and it added a sturdiness to the mask.

After leaving it on for a bit longer than 15 minutes (I got caught up in my book), I took the mask off and massaged the product into my skin. I immediately looked refreshed and glowing.

The next morning, I had such radiant skin, I didn’t even need to wear makeup. That was a win in my book.

Was it worth $15? I’m not sure, but I will say the feeling of luxury and the skincare benefits definitely were there, and I truly enjoyed the product.
