Travel Guide to Manayunk

I’ve been enjoying writing my travel guides for different parts of the city of Philadelphia, and today, I wanted to share on of my other favorite places, Manayunk. When I want to go out at night, enjoy a Sunday afternoon with some events, or get a great meal, Manayunk is my go-to. I have gone a ton, and I wanted to quickly share some of my must visit places in this neighborhood!

Where to Eat

  • Lucky’s Last Chance– This is the restaurant that inspired this post! I love it so much, that I am hard pressed to go anywhere else in Manayunk. My favorite thing to order is a hot dog topped with their jalepeno mac and cheese. I also love their onion straws, and their fries. If you want a to die for burger, go for the pbj burger. Such unique, excellent, indulgent food. They also have a great beer list.
  • Manayunk Brewery– Come for one of their incredible beers, stay for the sushi and pizza. Weird combo, I know, but I loved going to their happy hour and enjoying those 3 things in combination. If you sit outside, you will also be able to enjoy the canals.
  • Tubby Robot Ice Cream– This isa great dessert shop, and has some wonderful flavors like banana, and spicy chocolate!

Where to Shop

  • Nicole Miller– Nicole Miller is a Philadelphia icon, and this original Manayunk store is one of dreams. I love to window shop, and even go in to pick up a special piece.
  • Lila Fashion International– This store is awesome, because they pull together items from all over the world. So chic, and makes you feel like a total globetrotter.
  • The Little Apple– I have bought unique beauty products, socks, and gifts for others at this store. It is an adorable boutique with one of a kind finds, and some days, there’s even a puppy friend to say hello!

When to Go

There are so many festivals happening each month in Manayunk, so you are almost always bound to find something today. I linked their event page here, and would suggest Restaurant Week and Stroll the Street for sure!
