Our Bespoke Save the Dates

With a wedding on a major travel holiday, I was ready to send our Save The Dates by October. While not necessary, we have a guest minimum (and pretty much everyone on our list, we want to be able to come!), so I had to make sure everyone knew to mark their calendars.

I was hoping for a dreamy, bespoke Save the Date with one of our golden inspired engagement photos, some simple script text, and elegant paper and envelopes. We went with one of our favorite engagement photos that had a beautiful clear sky, which was the ideal spot to put our text. The golden sky, my flowing dress, and the rural scenery was just perfection.

Our Engagement Photo for the Save the Date

We decided to use Basic Invite, a custom printing website that has a diverse number of customizable designs, affordable prices, and incredible paper and envelope options. They also have free envelope addressing, which was a dream!

We went through the site and picked out a style that we liked, then imported our photo and customized the card. We could have ordered a sample if we liked, but we were pretty confident in our look. We upgraded our paper to a thick, luxe bond and also upgraded our envelopes to be a gold shimmer.

To have the envelopes be self addressed, we uploaded an excel sheet with all our information, and it was so easy! All of the addresses turned out perfectly (except for our Croatian friend who had Š characters in her name). Our return address was also on, so once the items came, we just stuffed the envelopes, closed (with lick-free adhesive element…thank goodness), and stamped.

The results were stunning. High quality, shimmering envelopes, and amazing print resolution. We picked out gorgeous wildflower floral stamps to go with them, and they even sent us some extras!

Save the Date

We loved our Save the Dates, and so did all our guests! It’s so fun to go to friend’s houses and see us hanging on their fridge. Basic Invite is always having sales, and so keep an eye out for a coupon to make these ultra affordable!

All thoughts and opinions are my own. I purchased these myself.
