The Ordinary Serum Foundation Review

The Ordinary is one of my favorite skincare brands, and I finally jumped on the chance to try one of their color cosmetic products when I was looking for a new, everyday light foundation. I was especially drawn in due to the great ingredients and the unique metallic pigment options.

I purchased the Shade 1.0NS ,which was the very fair neutral with silver highlights. I really wanted that gorgeous glow, and the silver is a tone I don’t normally use on my face (I usually keep it warm).

Some foundation information:

Serum Foundations are lightweight medium-coverage formulations available in a comprehensive shade range across 21 shades. These foundations offer moderate coverage that looks natural with a very lightweight serum feel. They are very low in viscosity and are dispensed with the supplied pump or with the optional glass dropper available for purchase separately if preferred.

Three of the shades have an additional letter at the end: S indicates Silver highlights and G indicates Gold highlights; these shades use natural-looking and exceptionally fine dispersions of metallic effect pigments for added highlight. The Ordinary will introduce individual enhancers and highlighters in the near future to customize all shades.

On to my review.

The shade was perfect, and I only needed one pump on my skin to spread out. It is very fluid and velvety, and it gave my skin a silky and powdery finish. I literally just used my fingers to get the perfect blend. I still had good coverage, and it felt so lightweight on my skin. This foundation is going to be a new, everyday staple! Since it goes on in under a minute and makes my skin look killer, there’s not much more I can ask for!

I would definitely recommend this great product next time you’re on the market for something natural and beautiful.
